How often should I wash my hair?
Great question! I personally recommend washing your hair with shampoo at least 1-2 times a week, making sure to apply the shampoo at least 2-3 times per wash until it starts to foam up. I would also recommend using conditioner to wash your hair after using shampoo and using conditioner at least twice the amount of times per week that you use shampoo to keep your hair hydrated and clean.
My hair is always dry and flaky, what can I do?
Dry and flaky hair can be caused my a few things, so further context may be required but a good general fix to most cases would be to use a medicated shampoo in replacement to regular shampoo, like “Nizoral” and it will clear up your scalp pod flakes.
What hair oils do you recommend?
While hair oils can have some benefits, I cannot professionally recommend anyone to use them because they can easily be misused and cause more harm than good. For example without proper hair washing habits you can develop and overgrowth of yeast on the scalp and adding topical oils on top of that can feed the fungus and make it stronger. Also to add, our scalp naturally secrets oils so topical oils aren’t necessary, but if they must be used please be sure to thoroughly wash it out with shampoo and don’t add more oil without washing out the previous application.
How can I deal with detangling my curly hair?
Curly hair is fun, it looks great but understand it is not a “wake up and go” hairstyle, it’s a commitment and it takes work. For easiest results, detangle hair wet and preferably with the assistance of conditioner in the shower or leave in conditioner outside of the shower. To prevent matting of the hair, pick out or detangle hair daily.
